First, if someone was to come up with a story about a wealthy politician who had also met the important people the previous author told about, it is rare they do. They just wanted to make a couple of references to the young leadership they had met upon the previous author’s visit to his home. Second, as a children’s writer, I am often disturbed by the assumption that children are less capable than adults and by the belief that their stories are worthy of calling.
